“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19
I love this scripture verse because YES God will meet ALL of your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus! These include our physical needs, emotional needs, spiritual needs and whatever else God knows what we need. The Lord knows what we need even before we ask Him. I am learning that we just need to come before Him in faith and believe because He just loves to take care of His children and bless us!
Today I stayed home again. I decided to get my blog caught up so I can start working on my newsletter this week. I am very, very glad that I had another accomplishing day with my blog. I was able to post another 9 entries today! I use to write in a journal where I wrote out my thoughts of my daily experiences on the mission field or wherever I am but over the last couple of years I have instead been doing it online for anyone to read on my blog.
I still do write in my journal from time to time but those times are when I want to just keep it private and keep it between the Lord and I. When I do write on my blog I hope you enjoy it and find it encouraging because that is my intention for it to both be a place where you can read about my daily adventures in Romania but also for it to encourage and build you up in the Lord.
This evening I listened to the K-Love Christian radio station on the internet. I really enjoy listening to the station from time to time because it really lifts me up and encourages me when I listen to all the different songs that glorify Christ. The DJs are also really great too! Today Scott and Kelli (the afternoon DJs) had a little debate going on and they asked the audience for their input.
The debate was whether to play one Christmas song or not because Kelli really wanted to play one but Scott thought it was a bit too early for Christmas music. They decided to post a voting poll up for 30 minutes on their facebook page. They got over 5,000 votes on their poll. The majority of the people said it was too early but there were also a lot of people that agreed with Kelli and wanted one song. They had a phone interview with Matthew West and he ended up making the final decision because there were quite a lot of strong opinions on both sides.
I wrote on their facebook page that I thought it was a bit too early for Christmas music. Now please don’t get me wrong I love the Christmas season but I thought it was a bit too early to start playing Christmas songs. Kelli ended up winning the debate when Matthew West said it was alright to play at least one song. They ended up playing “The Heart of Christmas” which is one of Matthew West’s new songs off his new Christmas album.
I decided to write on their facebook page as soon as I heard them play the song “So, Scott lost the bet. I’m sorry, I was rooting for you but at least we can enjoy Matthew West’s new Christmas song”. After the song was finished playing I was shocked when Scott said my name and what I wrote on their facebook page on the K-Love radio station!! I mean how cool is that? I totally got a kick out of that and thanked him for doing that. I also wrote that I’m a missionary in Romania and I really enjoy listening to the station on the internet.
Here is my sweet Minnie sleeping 🙂
