Today I couldn’t go to Sabolciu gypsy village again because Mircea still had to do paper work for the container so I stayed home. I spent some time with God and worked on my blog. I don’t like staying home so much because I’m here to be with the kids but unfortunately I can only go when my co-workers are able to go. I think though Minnie my cat appreciates when I’m home with her!
In the evening I went to church and wow was it ever a great service! I just love the international church because God is really moving in this church! We had a time of prayer and worship and then my Pastor preached a great message on the scripture verse 2 Corinthians 13:14 “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
After Pastor Innocent preached the sermon we had a time of prayer which was a very encouraging time for all of us. My Pastor asked if anyone is struggling with fear and if we are to come up to the front if we wanted prayer for that. I went up to the front because I wanted prayer. The Lord really ministered and encouraged my heart when my Pastor prayed for me. It was amazing how God gave Pastor Innocent a specific prayer for everyone he prayed for and he never asked anyone for their prayer requests but it was like the Holy Spirit just prayed through his mouth which is just so awesome!
A bit later on after I received prayer and other people were still receiving prayer ministry I had a very encouraging conversations with Harold who is one of the leaders of the church. I told him about what happened when I was in Sabolciu this past Sunday, how I suggested the idea to pray for people and I felt very discouraged when my idea was turned down.
Harold told me that when we start stepping out and doing what the Lord is leading us to do sometimes we will receive resistance from people even in the church. He told me that he experienced the same thing of resistance when God was placing him into a place of authority in leadership but now he told me at the church he is respected as one of the leaders.
Though I’m not in a position of leadership/authority right now, he told me to hold onto what God had spoke to me about because it will come to pass in God’s time. Harold encouraged me to keep on seeking the Lord about it and stay focused on Him. I truly believe in my heart that God wants to do great things here and bring such a spiritual transformation work in the lives of the people in the village and God will do it in His time! I am so grateful for how God encouraged my heart this evening at church!
When I came home from church I had a late dinner and I finally got to watch this past week’s episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Wow, what a great TV show it is and so very inspiring to see this family help so many people through their soup kitchen ministry! We should have more inspiring TV shows like this! It was a great day!!
