Christmas Party with the Foster Families

Thursday December 8, 2011

Today was another great day with the team! In the morning we all met at the House of Joy

Alina and Alexandra.

to finish organizing and packing up the Christmas gifts for the foster families and then in the afternoon we had our Christmas party for them! It was a really great program. We did a couple of crafts (decorated the ornaments for the Christmas tree and put together the colour chain for the tree), we ate some delicious food, the children recited poems and sang songs, we did the drama of the Christmas story and last but not least we gave all the children their presents.

What a blessing it was to be a part of this day with the foster families that we work with! It was so encouraging to see how much the foster parents love their foster children and how they have welcomed them into their home. They all have such big and compassionate hearts for these precious children! All of the kids are very sweet and beautiful!

I am with Nelly and her two girls.

I had a relaxing evening at home. I watched the recent episode of The Biggest Loser TV show. It was another great episode as I saw the contestants all come back and run the marathon. It was awesome to see five people from the youngest age group get prizes because they were the top five in the race.

Ramon won the race and he also earned his spot in the top three. The other previously top four had to be weighed in on this episode to see which other two contestants will be in the top three. Antone and John were the other two contestants in the top three. I’m totally looking forward to seeing the season final next week! What an inspiring TV show this is to watch!
