This morning I went to church. It was a great service. Then in the afternoon I went to the Săbolciu gypsy village with the other volunteers. It was really great to spend time with some of the families and children. The church service was wonderful. I thought it was neat that three of the young teenage girls went to an evangelism service with one of the older ladies in the village after we finished our service with them. I am so glad that Larisa, Asmina and Geanina are really starting to commit to going to church and I can see they have a desire to know God more which is just awesome!

Today I felt a bit homesick. I think I really missed my family today because all of my family got together on my Dad’s side of the family in Waterloo for Christmas. I am pretty close to them so when the family all gets together and I cannot be with them sometimes it’s hard for me. Today was one of those days where I really wished I could have been with them.

I had a really great evening at home! I got to talk to my family and relatives on my Dad’s side of the family on Skype for around an hour. It was really neat to connect with all of them and I even joined in with some of their carolling which was awesome! I am so thankful for my family because they are such a blessing from God.

I also got to finally watch the movie “Courageous” this evening. I’m so glad that I was able to find a good link on the internet and finally watch it because it was made by Christian producers and it has a really good message. It was well worth the wait to watch it and it is so worth seeing. I highly recommend this movie to everyone! Trust me you won’t be disappointed if you see it.

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go.
