“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth”.   – Matthew 5:5

Today I had a really great day with Jim and Teresa who are visiting for a week from California and volunteering with us. It is their 30th anniversary next Monday so instead of going on a tourist vacation trip they decided instead to go on a mission’s trip to celebrate their anniversary. It was so great to meet them today and I think it’s so neat that they came to Romania for a week to serve here with us!

They arrived at the office around 10:00am and I spent time with them until 3:00pm

Having fun sorting through clothes with Jim and Teresa!

today. The first half of our time together we sorted through donated clothes for the families at the Săbolciu gypsy village and then in the afternoon we went to the hospital to spend time loving on the abandoned babies that our foundation works with. We had a great day together and I was even able to practice my Romanian a bit too with the girls at the hospital! I’m sure the rest of the week will be such a blessing to serve with them.

In the evening I went to the international church for the Tuesday Bible study/service. It was such a great evening in the presence of God with everyone and wow was it ever good to see Pastor Innocent back in Romania (he was in Nigeria over the holidays with his family)! Everyone including me was so happy to see him back! Akim who is also part of the leadership team and from Nigeria came back too (he was in England over the holidays with his wife) so it was great to see him too! What a great day!!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
