“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God”.  – Matthew 5:8

Today I had such a great time with the orphan kids both at the younger children’s club and

Florin and I.

at the older kid’s chapel! The children enjoyed meeting Jim and Teresa and it was also great to have them with us today. We had some wonderful bonding times with the younger kids as we did crafts and played together with them.

Teresa and I shared a Bible story with the younger kids. Teresa read a book about Adam and Eve (Genesis 3) and then I told them a short story about what Jesus did for us on the cross (Luke 22 – 23). It was such a blessing to be able to share the gospel with the children. I really would like to do that more often. Then for the older kid’s chapel Jim shared one of his stories when he travelled abroad and he also tied it to the gospel as well. The kids seemed to enjoy the stories that we shared today.

For the older kid’s chapel we had a wonderful time of singing praise and worship songs.

Dani and 3 younger boys.

Then for the message Dani spoke from Mark 5:1 – 20 about the healing of a demon possessed man. Today the older kids seemed much more focused and attentive which was so encouraging because last week they didn’t pay so much attention during the chapel compared to this week. I also thought it was so neat how a lot more older kids prayed too during the prayer time. I am so glad that we (the volunteers) took time to pray together  before the chapel began because I really believed that made such a difference!

When I came home from the orphan chapel I spoke to my Mom on Skype for around an hour before I went to bed. It was a great way to end the day to talk to my Mom! We talked about the possibility of doing food packages for the Săbolciu gypsy village when they come to Romania the first of September. My Mom really likes the idea so I think we will do it and see if our home church would be able to get involved as well! What a great day!
