“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God”. – Matthew 5:9
I had a great day today! I spent a couple of hours with God in the morning which was an awesome way to start my day. This year I am very determined to start every morning with God because I desire with all of my heart to have a closer relationship with Jesus than ever before. If I don’t spend that quality time with God everyday then I don’t believe that I can grow in my relationship with Him. The Lord has already been doing huge things in my life so far this year and it’s only January 21st and I believe with all of my heart as this year unfolds God is going to do even greater things!
This afternoon I had a wonderful opportunity to meet with Pastor Innocent. He is my Pastor from the international church that I started going to since September. I met with him for around an hour. It was such a blessing to share with him everything of what the Lord has been doing in my life over the last couple of months and especially since the end of December of last year.
I shared with him of how the Lord has been speaking to me and leading me to do this opportunity later this year (I will share what exactly it is on my blog in the next couple of months as of right now it is still a bit too early to write about it on here). He really encouraged me a lot and at the end of our time together he also prayed for me too. God really filled my heart with so much encouragement from that meeting!
The rest of the day I read a book I have been reading called “Always Enough” by Rolland and Heidi Baker. I also watched this movie called “Reggie’s Prayer” that I had borrowed from my Bible study leaders. It was an alright movie. It had a good story to it but the way it was made I think it was done very poorly of how it was produced. That’s just my opinion. If you watch this movie you may have a completely different opinion.
It was a such a great day and again I am very grateful for the meeting I had with my Pastor that the Lord opened up for us to have today! What a blessing it is from God to have a Pastor who takes time to get to know the people in his church which I believe is so very important to have a good relationship with your Pastor.
