“Fear of man will prove to be snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe”.

Proverbs 29:25

Here is a video blog on the differences between “fear of man and fear of God”

Today I had a really great day! I went to church in the morning and then in the afternoon I went to the Săbolciu gypsy village with Dani, Steve, Salomea and her sister Andra. The last couple of months we have been having the church service at this older woman’s house. When we arrived at Ica’s house today she didn’t look so good and she didn’t seem prepared for us or she might have forgotten about us coming.

She still welcomed us into her home even though she wasn’t feeling well. She told us that she had a headache, so right away I suggested that we pray for her. Then Steve volunteered me to pray for her since I suggested it. I was very glad to pray for her and Dani translated for me. What a blessing that was to take the time to do that for her.

At the end of the meeting I asked Dani to ask Ica if her headache was gone or if she still had it. She told us that the headache shortly left just after we prayed. When I heard that I said “wow, praise God!” I really just praise the Lord for His healing touch and how humbling that He chose me to pray for her! Our God is so great!!

During the prayer time I finally stepped out in faith and opened up my mouth to pray. I just love praying but sometimes I struggle with praying aloud in a group. I think though the more I do pray in group settings, the more easily it will become. This year I really desire with all of my heart to really grow more and more in my prayer life. Lord God, I give this desire of my heart to you!

Before I went to bed I spoke to my parents on Skype for around an hour and a half. We had a great talk! It was wonderful to catch up with them of what happen this past week. I am so grateful to be able to keep in touch with them every week on Skype. What a blessing from God!
