“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will”.                                             – Romans 12:2

This evening I went to church. It was a powerful prayer meeting in God’s presence! Also, is it ever cold outside (-9c/15f) but it was definitely worth it to brave out the cold weather and go to church! I’m so thankful to be a part of a praying church!

“The degree to which you are poor in spirit is the degree to which you will see the Kingdom break forth. What does it mean to be poor in spirit? The answer to this lies in our dependency, hunger and desperation on God”.                          – Heidi Baker

I’m reading a very good book right now called “Compelled by Love”. The book is written by Heidi Baker and she goes through the beatitudes from Matthew 5:1-12. I have been learning so much from this book. When I read about what it means to be “poor in spirit” the Lord really brought a new revelation to me because I honestly didn’t really know what it meant before I read that chapter.

This is my heartbeat that I would learn to be “poor in spirit” before God so that every day I would have a heart that is in desperation, dependency and hunger after Him. I also believe this is what the Lord wants all of us to have too that we don’t rely on ourselves but on Him and on Him alone!
