“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.                                                                                             – Romans 8:38 – 39

Today I had such a great day! At 3:00pm I left home for the orphan mentoring project that we have every Friday and then I got home around 10:30pm so it was definitely a very long day. In the afternoon we had the younger orphan kids for our younger kid’s chapel and then in the evening we had the teens for our older orphan chapel we do with them on Fridays.

We had such a great time with the younger kids and they are just so cute! It was fun to

Three of the younger girls coloring.

sing songs with them, play games, tell them a Bible story (I told them the story of Jonah and the whale and Dani translated for me) but most of all it was awesome to just love on them as we spent time with them.

We also had a great time with the older kids for the older orphan kid’s chapel. Steve shared some pictures from one of his mission trips when he went to Ecuador and he also shared a couple of stories too. Then Dan shared a message from Mark 6:30 – 56 which was about the feeding of the 5,000 and when Jesus walked on the water. It was a great chapel but I just wish that the kids would have a deeper passion to pay attention more and be more serious when they come to chapel.

When I got home I was extremely excited because I had a Skype appointment with Anita who is a new friend that the Lord connected me with just this past week! My friend Hannah from Florida randomly met her last Friday at a conference who both share a very common interest that I also share as well (I’m sorry I can’t get into any details yet). Last Saturday Hannah told me about her when we spoke on Skype, then I connected with Anita on facebook and we have tried to have a Skype chat all week until finally we were able to do it today.

I am so very grateful for my Skype chat with Anita and I just give God praise for this divine connection that He has put together! Today we spoke for almost 2 hours (10:45pm – 12:38am) and what an awesome conversation that was! I just feel so encouraged, built up and extremely excited for what the Lord has for me ahead this year!!
