“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”                                                                                          – 2 Corinthians 5:17

This morning I went to church. It was so great to get out after being at home almost the entire week. It was great to see everyone again and it was also a great service too. I really wanted to go to the Săbolciu gypsy village today like I usually do on Sundays with the other volunteers for the church service but this morning I felt a bit weary from not having the best night sleep so I stayed home again. I ended up coming home from church and took a nap in the afternoon.

I felt really disappointed that I didn’t go to the village today to see the children and the families there because I really missed not seeing them all week. It was definitely a very different week for me to be home all week and to not go to church on Tuesday or Thursday or see the orphan and gypsy kids. I do hope next week it will be back to a normal ministry week with the kids again.

In the evening I did speak to my parents around an hour on Skype which was nice to be able to talk to them. I’m so glad that I was able to end my day to have an encouraging Skype chat with my parents!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
