“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord is the Rock eternal”. – Isaiah 26:3-4

Unfortunately I had another bad night’s sleep last night with all of that coughing and blowing my nose. It really wasn’t until I started to listen to some music on my i pod and pray for God’s peace that my coughing started to calm down and then I was able to finally fall asleep. Today I stayed home again because I still felt awful. I would appreciate your continual prayers for me to get better, thanks!

This afternoon my Mom called me on Skype. I was surprised to hear from her especially in the afternoon because we don’t usually talk in the afternoon but usually only in the evenings. My Mom read the e-mail that I haven’t been feeling well lately so she wanted to call me to see how I’m doing and pray for me. At first my Mom was just going to make a quick call to me but one of her clients cancelled her morning cleaning job so instead of talking for 5 minutes we got to talk for almost an hour.

It was so great to talk to my Mom today. At the beginning of our conversation I started to cry when my Mom asked me how I’m doing. I told her that I haven’t been feeling well since Monday and I also haven’t been sleeping well at all. I think I was just feeling really down and discouraged from being sick. I think I might even be going through some kind of spiritual battle too because a couple of weeks ago my cat got injured and in January I had one day when I had these sharp painful stomach aches.

It was encouraging to talk to my Mom today. She encouraged me a bit and at the end of our conversation she prayed for me too. My Mom also told me that one of her clients gave her a newspaper article from the Toronto Star newspaper. The news article was about Romania and also the bad weather conditions in other Eastern European countries.

I heard the weather was bad but I had no idea it was that bad. Officials said five Romanians died in the past 24 hours due to the cold winter weather conditions which brings the total to 79 weather-related deaths. Could you please keep Romania and the other Eastern European countries in your prayers as we are going through this harsh cold snap right now? Thanks so much for your prayers!
