“One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” – Psalm 27:4
Today I had such a great time with the orphan kids and teens at the orphanage! I am so thankful before I arrived there with the other volunteers that the Lord gave Tabita and I an opportunity to pray together which was very encouraging. When I went to my Bible study group on Monday, Priscilla gave me a bunch of tracts in the Romanian language. This afternoon I had my first opportunity to share the gospel with one of the girls! She told me that she already accepted Christ and even wants to be baptized but I wasn’t sure if she truly understood what God did for us. I do hope going through the tract was helpful for her.
I just want to praise God for our three new volunteers that are students at the Emmanuel Christian University! Geanina, Rodica and Cristi all were so great with the children and the teens! It was awesome that they also stayed for the older kid’s teen chapel as well! At the beginning of the chapel they sang a couple of praise songs and then when Dan led us all into a time of worship Cristi also continued to play the guitar so we had two people playing the guitar. It was probably the best worship time that we had at the orphan chapel in a long time and the attendance was better too! I just praise God for what He did today at the orphanage! Please continue to pray for these precious kids and teens that need God so much, thanks!
At 9:15pm I took a taxi to my church from the orphanage for our once a month prayer night vigil meeting. It did not start until 10:00pm but now I need to be there 30 minutes before for prayer with the other workers. It was great to go a bit earlier to get a good seat and also pray with the other workers as well. The meeting went until 3:00am and we again had a really great turn out (maybe around 70 people). We had such a wonderful time in God’s presence as we worshipped Him, prayed for our families, the church, the nations and the youth. My Pastor also preached a very encouraging message on knowing our identity in Christ. It was an amazing night!
