“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”                                                        – 2 Chronicles 16:9a

It was so great to spend some time with the children at the Sabolciu gypsy village today and what a sight when we arrived there as one of the Fathers was butchering two small pigs! I was very glad to see that the meat wasn’t just for his family but he gave a lot of it away to the other families in the village too.

I also want to thank God for the encouraging word that one of the Fathers said to me on

Flornia and Emanuela.

the way back to Oradea from the village. We took him, his wife and one of their sons to the city because they had a doctor’s appointment. He told me in the car “everyone seems to leave but you stay and you haven’t left”. Wow, I really never expected to hear that from him because it is very rare to hear any appreciative words from the parents. I honestly felt very humbled and encouraged when I heard that and I praise God for those words of life because lately I have been going through some struggles and even facing doubts if this is really where I am suppose to be. God definitely knows what you need and when!!

I am also very glad that I was able to get some things done today at home like e-mailing, posting seven new entries on my blog and I finished a very good book called “Chasing the Dragon” which is written by Jackie Pullinger. It was a good day.

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go.
