“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.” – Psalm 130:5

This morning I left Oradea at 8:30am and I got to Târgu Mures just before 2:00pm. It was

Steve, Liz and Elisa in the middle.

a very long trip (5 hours) and I almost missed my maxi taxi (it’s like a mini bus) but praise God that I didn’t miss it and praise God for the safe trip! I came to Târgu Mures until Monday to get away for a couple of days and re-connect with some friends of mine here. One of my friends moved back to the States so she invited me to stay with her former Romanian roommate – Ani. She is a really nice and sweet girl! Ani doesn’t know much English but it’s alright because it forces me to speak in Romanian with her which is such a great opportunity for me to have!

Today I met with a missionary family that I used to work with when I lived in Târgu

Elisa and I.

Mures. We all served and worked together at the English school. Their names are Steve and Liz and they have a six year old daughter named Elisa. We had dinner together outside at a restaurant today. We had such a wonderful time together and it was so great to re-connect with them again! Tomorrow I am very much looking forward to seeing my best friend Cristina and finally meeting her little one too!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
