“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
On Thursday I started reading a book that Kim (she is one of the interns) brought over for me that I ordered. I also ordered another book and a few other things off of Amazon that I’m very thankful that she brought over to Romania (a clip on light for my kindle and a European charger). I’m so very grateful for her and another girl who also brought temptation treats for Minnie too! What a blessing!!
This afternoon I read a couple of chapters from the book and I was so touched by it when I read it today that tears came to my eyes. Here’s a quote from the book: “More than the food and drink we need to live, we need fresh bread from heaven. We need the bread of life that only Jesus can provide – His glorious presence. Those who are spiritually hungry will be satisfied as they eat and drink of Jesus.” – Heidi Baker (from the book: The Hungry Always Gets Fed).
This evening before I went to bed I spoke to my parents on Skype for around an hour. It was great to talk to them and tell them about how my week went. I always enjoy talking to them and keeping in touch with them every week on Skype! I’m so thankful for all of my parent’s encouragement, support and also for their prayers. They are such a blessing from God and I’m really looking forward to them coming here to Romania at the end of this summer!
This is a quote that my friend Twilla wrote on her facebook. I loved it so much that I asked her if I can share it too and she said yes!
“I came to give you LIFE. I LIKE you…I LOVE you. You bring much delight and cause songs to arise in my heart…with one glance of your eye I am undone…will fix your glaze on me, oh how it moves my heart. Your worship of me isn’t for me, but it turns your focus so you get a glimpse of my love for you in the midst of your love and adoration of me…turn to me!!! I am your safe place and refuge.” – Jesus to all who will come!!!
