“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

Hebrews 11:1

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

            Hebrews 11:6

This morning I had a great time at church and it was a joyful celebration because a lot of the university medical students graduated this week! We had a time of sharing testimonies and everyone shared at least something about what God has done this past week. I shared about the miracle of God providing a way for me to be able to get my religious visa through the Pentecostal Center.

Folu (she is one of the leaders) preached a great sermon on the touch of God. Here are some things that I got from her sermon:

–         Main scripture passage: Mark 5:25 – 35

–         When God touches you, your life will never be the same.

–         Sometimes God can touch you and other times you can touch the heart of Jesus.

–         If you have something that is wrapped around you that stops you from hearing from God (e.g. sin) then you need to repent.

–         Three simple ways we can touch God’s heart:

  1. By faith – Hebrews 11:6, Matthew 15:21 – 28
  2. By giving – Mark 12: 41 – 44
  3. By persistent prayer – Mark 10:46 – 52, 1 Samuel 1:7- 15

In the afternoon I went to Sabolciu for around an hour and a half with the interns and the team from California for our weekly Sunday service in the village. When we got there we invited everyone into the church (there were mostly children and a few adults), then we sang some songs, then Ami told the children the story of the Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25 – 37 and then we took all of the kids outside so the adults can have their sermon. I went out with the kids when we went outside. We went to this field near this school to “try” and play games with them but unfortunately I don’t think it was very successful because a lot of them didn’t listen very well. We did have a very short game of Duck, duck goose though. Even though the kids didn’t behave real well it was still great to see them today!

This evening I came across a website and I found out that there will not be a fifth season of “So You Think You Can Dance Canada”. I cannot believe that they cancelled the TV show after only four seasons. Wow, how very sad for Canadian dancers not to get this experience anymore in Canada and also for that platform to perform too. 😦

This song is what my heart is crying out – I am hungry for more of Jesus! Are you hungry too for more of Jesus?
