“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.”                                                                     – Psalm 37:3-7a

This morning I went to Sabolciu to do a VBS program with the kids there that the interns

Dana and I.

have been doing all week on the life of David. The children behaved so well today! We sang songs, the interns did a skit that the kids loved, then they did a craft (they made little flags) and then we went to a field near the village to play (the boys and the older kids played soccer and the younger kids played other games). I’m very glad it went well today and I’m so thankful for the bonding times that God gave me with the kids too!

I went to church this evening and I felt so encouraged by God especially from the sermon. I was reminded that God has formed us for a special assignment and we are unique in His eyes (God didn’t create anyone else on this earth like us, so we are individual and unique!). God also reminded me how important it is to see things the way He sees them through the eyes of faith.

Then I even received encouragement on the tram on the way home. I talked to a friend of

Medalion and Reghin

mine all the way home on the tram in Romanian and a guy who sat in front of me wanted to ask me where I was from because of my accent and then he told me that I speak very well in Romanian. I was very encouraged when I heard that because it is extremely rare to receive an encouraging word like that from a complete stranger. I just praise God for filling my heart with encouragement today. God is so good!!

An answer to prayer – this afternoon my friend Lori finally got a hold of Pastor Moldovan! He is not able to meet with us tomorrow so we booked an appointment with him on Monday July 16th (we can only do it then because of the next 2 weeks of us being away at camp). I praise God for an answer prayer! I just want to thank-you for your prayers! God is so very good and I do believe by faith that everything will be just fine for me to get my Romanian visa on time!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
