God has filled my heart with so much JOY especially after receiving the great news of my acceptance to the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries in Pemba, Mozambique so I thought I’d look up a few scripture verses on joy!

“Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!”                                                                                                   Psalm 32:11

“Sing to him a new song; play skillfully and shout for joy.”         – Psalm 33:3

“Shout for joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!”                                                                                              Psalm 66:1

I had quite an interesting day. Late this morning when I brushed my teeth the light burned out in my bathroom and then I noticed that I did not have any electricity at all in my whole apartment except for three other lights that worked. I found this out right before I left for my Romanian exam so I had to call my landlord and ask him if he could come and repair the problem after my exam.

Unfortunately because I felt a bit stressed out about the problem in my apartment I don’t think I did so well on my exam (I guess I will just see when I get the result). When my landlord came over we discovered there was a problem with the bathroom light (though not the light bulb). Now I have electricity again but no light in my bathroom. My landlord will come back to repair it on Monday morning at 9:00am.

In the evening while I ate my dinner I watched “So You Think You Can Dance”. It was the episode that they decided on the top 20. Wow, what incredible dancers they all are and I am very sure it will be another great season!

Before I went to bed I was able to have a great Skype chat with my friend Hannah! I’m very thankful for the friendship that God has given us and for all of the encouragement that she gives to me! It was awesome how God put a huge smile back on my face again when I spoke to her about the Harvest Mission School because after speaking to her about the stress that I went through with my apartment I realized it was definitely an attack from the enemy.

Let’s just face it, the enemy does not want me to go to Mozambique at all but we serve a big and awesome God and we have the victory through Him!! Thank-you Lord that we are more than victorious in you!! Amen!!

About Andrea

I am from Whitby, Ontario. I have lived in Romania for 9 years as a missionary but I am currently in Canada on a sabbatical break at this time. I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go. I also love cats too and I have a cat of my own named Minnie!
