“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” – Psalm 20:7
I cannot believe how much I have missed Minnie (my cat) not sleeping on my bed last night with me. She slept on the floor last night and she has been sleep there a lot lately this week (probably because of the heat). I am going to really miss her when I’ll be at camp next week and also when I go to Africa too.
This evening it was so awesome to have a Skype call with Janelle and I’m so very thankful that God gave us that opportunity to share our journeys and testimonies of leading up to the Harvest Mission School!! I am so thankful for the facebook group page that we have for the school to be able to connect to all of the students before we even meet each other in person in Mozambique! Everyone seems to have such amazing hearts for God and it is just going to be so awesome when we are all together there seeking God! God is so good!!
Tomorrow morning (July 8th) I will leave for the orphan camp. It is for a week. The orphan kids and teens will arrive on Monday and then we’ll return home on Sunday July 15th. There will be around 100 people at camp (60 orphans and the rest will be staff, translators and the American team). Every summer we take the kids to camp, this will be my third time going and I have hardly seen any change in these kids. It breaks my heart that so many of them smoke, drink, etc and then there’s hardly any spiritual hunger at all.
Could you please lift us up in your prayers this week that their lives may be touched by the power of God’s love? I’m praying for salvation and lives to be transformed this week! God is able! Thanks so much for your prayers! Blessings!
