“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”
This morning I went to Arad for my last two vaccinations for Africa. I got my second shot for Hepatitis A & B and also MMR (measles, mumps and rubella). This time I went by myself. I praise God that everything went really well both for my transportation there and back and also for my doctor’s appointment. I took the maxi taxi (a small bus) from Oradea at 8:30am, arrived there around 10:45am, went to my doctor’s appointment and return to Oradea around 12:45pm and arrived home around 3:15pm. It was quite a busy morning to go there and back to Arad but I’m so thankful that my arms weren’t sore like last time!
Around 4:15pm I left to go to Budapest with my co-worker Mircea to pick up my parents and my brother Jonathan at the airport. Their arrival time was at 6:20pm and the time zone in Hungary is one hour behind Romania so the time we left Oradea gave us plenty of time to get to the airport on time when they arrived. Unfortunately there was really bad traffic on the road and it took us much longer than we thought it would take us to get there. At first we thought there was an accident on the road but then we found out later it was construction and only certain lanes can go at the same time.
I felt horrible that we were an hour and a half late in meeting my parents and my brother at the airport! I think Mircea felt really bad too but there was nothing we could have done about it. By the time we got to the airport it was at around 8:00pm. After we put the luggage in the van we went to Burger King for dinner and then we drove back to Oradea. By the time arrived in Oradea, checked my parents in the hotel and I got home with Jonathan it was almost 2:00am. It was definitely a very exhausting day but I’m also extremely happy that my family is here in Romania for a week’s visit! I’m sure it will be a very busy week and a good one too!
