September 2, 2014
Dear Family and Friends,
I hope you are doing well! Can you believe that we are already at the beginning of September and the summer is already over? I hope the summer was a time of refreshment and of rest for you.
Montana DTS Team
The Crossroads DTS team from Montana came to Târgu Mureş, Romania to do their outreach here at the base that I’m serving at for 7 weeks. This team arrived on Sunday June 29th and they were here until Thursday August 14th. There were nine people that were on this team who are from all over the United States (Montana, Ohio, Texas, Wisconsin, California, Michigan) and there was also one person from Canada too (Alberta). There were two staff on the team and the rest were students.
When they were in Romania they did a variety of ministries outreaches like: street evangelism, praying for the sick at the cancer hospital, VBS at the New Generation church, loving on the Roma gypsy communities, coffee house, YWAM camp, etc. I really enjoyed when they were here and I felt so blessed by all of their encouragement and how they prayed for us when they were here especially by all of the prophetic words that they had received for the base too.
YWAM in touch Camp
This summer was the second annual YWAM in touch camp that was in Romania and I am
so very grateful that I was able to attend this year. The camp was from Sunday July 20th to Saturday July 26th and it was held in a small village called Prod which is near Sighisoara. There were just around 50 people that came from eight different nationalities that came to the camp (Romania, Moldova, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, Great Britain (UK) The United States, Canada) and also there were people that were from three different YWAM bases in Romania as well (Cluj, Medias and Târgu Mureş). Our speakers were Peter and Donna Jordan. The theme of the camp was on hearing God’s voice and wow was it ever an amazing week to receive new revelations to hear from God! It was also such a wonderful week to meet new people and such a refreshing time as well.
New Jersey Team
I felt very blessed by God that He brought a second team to the YWAM base here in Târgu
Mureş this summer. This team was youth/ young adults group of 15 people from a church from New Jersey. They were here from Monday August 11th to Saturday August 16th. During the week the team was here we kept them very busy with different ministry activities – we loved on some of the beautiful Roma gypsy children at the Cold Valley village, prayed for the sick at the cancer hospital and did a coffee house at the base. It was wonderful to meet each one of them and I was very inspired by their hearts to serve and get to know God at a young age with so much passion!
“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” (Hebrews 10:36)
At the beginning of July God had opened up a brand new ministry that I never thought or expected to be a part of because those who know me well know that I don’t personally like to go to hospitals but I’m so glad that God had opened up these doors! I am so very thankful that God gave me Verica as my landlord. I have been so very blessed by her intercessory heart for prayer as she regularly comes to our YWAM base to pray with us and also her heart for evangelism. On July 10th I went with her for the first time along with two other women from the Montana team to the cancer hospital and ever since then I have continued to go with her to minister to people there.
God has literally been blowing me away with what He has been doing there to the point of me having tears in my eyes at times! So far three people got healed and they didn’t need surgery after all, eleven people have made salvation decisions, many people have received New Testament Bibles, three women have received reading glasses as gifts and God has even supernaturally multiplied two different Bibles in Verica’s bags at two different times!! Wow, God is so good!
• I praise God for bringing teams to Romania and the opportunity to go to the YWAM camp!
• I praise God for the new hospital ministry that He has opened up to minister to people!
• I praise God for how He has been continually teaching me what perseverance means.
• For God to help us with all of the big and small details of putting together our next DTS.
• For God to continue to enlarge my heart for the nations and a deeper heart for intercession.
• For God to continue to teach me every day what it means to listen to His voice.
