YWAM National Conference

I love so much being a YWAMer and especially being a part of the YWAM Romania family! The first week of September from Wednesday September 3rd to Saturday September 6th I went to the YWAM national conference for Romania which was held this year in Medias. It is really such an amazing time as we have this conference once a year where all five bases (Târgu Mureş, Medias, Cluj, Iasi and Constanta) get together to seek the Lord together and to have a great time of fellowship as well.

This year it was my second annual conference and it definitely felt more like a family

reunion this time because last year felt a bit overwhelming to me since I had just moved back to Târgu Mureş and then I left for the conference a couple of days after I had arrived so everyone at the conference were all new to me. There were still quite a few new faces that I had met this year but it was also such a great feeling to be reunited with a lot of familiar faces as well from the other YWAM bases.

I think there were close to 100 people (including the children) that were at the conference. I think it is really amazing how God how brought people from different nations to serve in Romania. The different nationalities that are serving with YWAM Romania that I know of are from: Canada, The United States, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Norway, Croatia, Switzerland, Latvia, The Netherlands (Holland), Nigeria, Congo, Hong Kong, Moldova and of course Romania.

This year the theme of national YWAM conference was called “TPM Incotro? Ce? Cine? Unde?”. The translation is “YWAM Where to? What? Who? Where?” The theme this year was all about remembering our roots and history of how YWAM started in Romania and where it is going. We had some really great speakers during the conference who were: Mike Oman, Reinhard Hammerle, Rita Pretorius and Florin Mihaly and the worship time was led people from the different bases.

The presence of the Lord was wonderful during the conference. It was such a refreshing few days and a real time of encouragement for all of us. I’m really excited that God is leading a couple from the Medias base to plant and open up a brand new YWAM base in the city of Craiova (it’s in the west south part of Romania) by next year! I feel so very blessed to be a part of the YWAM Romania family and I’m really excited to see what God is doing here in this nation that He has called me to!

I have also lived in South Korea for a year and I have also been to Russia, Uganda, Albania and the Czech Republic on short-term mission trips. In 2012, God also gave me an amazing opportunity to go to Mozambique for the Harvest Mission School with Iris Ministries as well. I love children, reaching out to people who are in need and vulnerable, I have a passion to fight against the injustice issue of human trafficking and to simply share the love of Jesus wherever I go.
