DTS Foundational Training Workshop

The first week of November from Sunday the 2nd to Saturday the 8th I was at the YWAM

Marianna and I

Marianna and I

Cluj base with my friend Marianna who is also serving at the same base that I am at in Târgu Mureş, Romania. During that week we had the wonderful privilege to attend a DTS foundational staff training workshop week that was hosted at the YWAM Cluj base. Unfortunately there was not enough room for us to stay at the base because they were overbooked for the week but we were blessed that we got to stay at an apartment where two of the staff live from the base. Timmy and Coco were wonderful hosts and I am very thankful that they opened up their apartment for Marianna and I to stay with them during the week!

This was the first DTS foundational training workshop that was held at the Cluj base and it was a joint training week with both the Western and Central Europe regions. There were 47 people in total that participated in the training (11 people were from the Cluj base and 36 people were from other bases). Our teachers for the week were: Arlen Stoltzfus (from the Cluj base), Vane and Edyta Arsov (from the Budapest base), Toni Bragg (from the Herrnhut base) and Jarod Graham (from a base in Croatia). They are all leaders from those YWAM regions and they do training for the DTS staff.

I am with the YWAM Cheb team.

There were 18 different nationalities that were represented at the training week. I met people from: Canada, The United States, Ukraine, Holland, Poland, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, , Serbia and Bulgaria and South Africa, Australia, Indonesia, Belize, Dominican Republic, of course Romania. I thought it was pretty exciting of how God brought so many people from different nations together who are passionate about the DTS ministry and are serving in Europe!

There were also people from 15 different YWAM bases that are serving in both the Western and Central Europe. There were people from these different YWAM bases that came to the DTS staff training week: Târgu Mureş Romania, Cluj, Romania, Medias, Romania, Constanta, Romania, Budapest Hungary, Cheb Czech Republic, Amsterdam The Netherlands, Harpenden England, Paris France, Wiler, Switzerland, Burtigny, Switzerland, Hernbut Germany, Uzice Serbia, Croatia and Bulgaria.

It was truly a wonderful week of training and equipping before I started to serve as a DTS staff at the base where I’m serving at! It was such a blessing from God to be able to meet people from all over the world who are passionately in love with Jesus. I just loved the prayer and worship times, the teaching times were amazing and we had a beautiful Love Fest to end the week off together before we had said our good-byes. I miss everyone so much so now I’m thinking that it would be a great time to get in touch with them again!
