YWAM Romania National Conference

I love so much being a YWAMer and especially being a part of the YWAM

Worshiping God together during one of the services.

Romania family! The first week of September from Wednesday September 2nd to Sunday September 6th I went to the YWAM national conference for Romania which was held this year in Cluj. It is really such an amazing time as we have this conference once a year where all six bases (Târgu Mureş, Medias, Cluj, Iasi, Constanta and Craiova which is the newest one) get together to seek the Lord together and to have a great time of fellowship as well.

This year it was my third annual conference and it definitely feels like a family reunion which is such a blessing from God. I think there were close to 100 people (including the children) that were at the conference. I think it is really amazing how God has brought people from different nations to serve in Romania. The different nationalities that are serving with YWAM Romania that I know of are from: Canada, The United States, England, Ukraine, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, The Netherlands (Holland), Hong Kong, Moldova and of course Romania.

IMG_5354This year the theme for the national YWAM conference was called “Esti gata sa iti asumi riscuri? Esti gata sa infrunti noi provocari?” The translation is “Are you ready to take risks? Are you ready to face new challenges?” The theme this year was all about to be challenged to continue to go further in our callings and to not to be afraid to take risks to keep going forward both individually and as a YWAM national family here in Romania.

Dan Baumann speaking at the conference

Our speaker this year was Dan Baumann and he also brought along a couple from the States with him (Benji and Aubree Poffenroth) as well. I was really impacted by his testimony of when he shared about when he was in prison in Iran when he went there to share the love of Jesus with people there. The worship time was led by people from the different bases and we had such an amazing time seeking God together with all of our hearts.

YWAM Romania Family

The presence of the Lord was wonderful during the conference. It was such a refreshing few days and a real time of encouragement for all of us. It was so wonderful to have to time to pray for one another and get to know each other a bit more.

It was also a blessing the YWAM Chahul base from Moldova joined us as well since they do not have a national conference they were invited to join ours which was really great to be together with them as well. I feel so very blessed to be a part of the YWAM Romania family and I’m really excited to see what God is doing here in this nation that He has called me to!
