December Romania Update!

December 3, 2015

Dear Family and Friends,

I hope you are doing well! Can you believe that we are already in the month of December now? Wow where does the time go? It is hard to believe how fast time goes! I hope you had an amazing fall season!

YWAM National Conference
I love so much being a YWAMer and especially being a part of the YWAM Romania family! IIMG_5351 went to my third national YWAM conference in Romania which was held this year in Cluj. It was from September 2nd – 6th. All six YWAM bases in Romania plus a base from Moldova came together to be encouraged and challenged to continue to go further in our callings and not to be afraid to take new risks to keep going forward both individually and as a nation. We were all really blessed by our speaker this year who was Dan Baumann. God’s presence was evident and it was so good to worship and seek God together. I feel so very blessed to be a part of this YWAM Romania family and I’m excited to see what God is going to continue to do here in this nation that He has called me to!

DTS Lecture Phase
On September 20th the DTS 2015 (Discipleship Training School) began at the YWAM base where I serve at. This is my second time to be a staff for the DTS ministry and what a blessing from God it is to be a part of this life changing season for our students. This year we have a very small class of only three students but they are all such incredible people and I truly believe that God has brought them here for a purpose for this school. The threeDTS Class 2015 and staff students who are in this class are: Matt (he’s 21 years old and an American), Betty (she’s 22 years old and she’s from Romania but Hungarian) and Eli (he’s 18 years old and an American).

It has hard to believe that the 11 weeks of the lecture phase is over and the outreach phase will be starting this Sunday. During the lecture phase it was quite an intensive season of growing together for both the students and the staff in our relationship with God. Every week we had different teaching topics in the mornings like: Hearing God’s Voice, Holy Spirit, and Spiritual Warfare. The students have also done some local outreaches to a homeless ministry, at a cancer hospital and Treasure Hunting (Holy Spirit led evangelism). I’m very excited to see the transformation that God is doing in us during this time!

My Birthday Celebration
On October 15th I had such an amazing day and the Lord gave me many blessings and IMG_5438surprises beyond what I had expected! I prayed for “cookies” from heaven and that I would feel my Daddy God’s kisses from heaven and I truly believe that I did. I was extremely blessed when the DTS students made a cake for my birthday which was a total surprise to me because I was not expecting it at all! That was so very sweet of them to do that for me! The students and the staff are all such amazing people and I’m so very grateful that God has placed them in my life!

”For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6

Going on Outreach with the students
This Sunday (December 6th) the DTS outreach phase officially begins! On October 7th theIMG_5496 staff met for prayer and waited on God to see where He would like us to go for the outreach. The Lord made it very clear to all of us that He has called us to go to the Czech Republic for the first 6 weeks and for 2 weeks in Craiova which is the newest YWAM base in Romania. We will spend half of our time at the Prague base and the other half of our time at the Cheb base when we will be in the Czech Republic. The different ministries we will do are: human trafficking with woman, kids and youth clubs, homeless, Treasure Hunting (Holy Spirit led evangelism), English club and prayer walks.

This will be my very first time leading an outreach so I’m very sure it will be quite stretching for me but it is my heart’s desire to be available for God and to continue to be able to mentor and disciple the students. This Sunday we will fly to Prague, we’ll be in the Czech Republic for 6 weeks and then the last two weeks we will be in Craiova, Romania until January 31st. The total cost for the outreach is 1,200 Euro ($1,700 CAD). Would you please prayerfully consider sowing a seed into this outreach?

Praise Reports!
• I praise God for the opportunity to serve with YWAM and for the doors He has been opening up!
• I praise God for such an enriching and growing DTS lecture phase it was for everyone!
• I praise God for how He has been continuing teaching me the importance to trust in Him more!

Prayer Requests:
• For God to teach me what it truly means to depend completely on Him during the outreach, for Him to set me free from any insecurities and fears from leading the team as well.
• For God’s provision for our team, unity, protection and we would be carriers of His presence.
• For God to enlarge the vision that He has called me to and He will take me deeper in His heart.
