festival that is held at Darien Lake Theme Park near Buffalo, New York. The festival takes place over a span of four days and has hosted a variety of Christian speakers and artists since the late 1980s.

There are a variety of things that you can do during the festival including: enjoying the amusement park, concerts at the Performing Arts Centre Stage and the Awaken Stage, worship with thousands of Christians in the worship tent, attend great seminars, there is a kids tent for the children, there are art and soul workshops, late night events with special guests artists and there is also a marketplace with vendors where you can buy books, CDs, etc.

Kingdom Bound Ministries Mission exists to present the Gospel through a variety of art forms including concerts, outreaches and an annual performing arts festival; to bring IMG_0389people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to encourage and equip believers in their walk with God.

Every year since I was about 8 years old I have been going to the Kingdom Bound festival with my family, though of course there were years I couldn’t go because I was overseas but when I was in Canada I definitely enjoyed going. Throughout the years of going to the festival it has become one of my favorite traditions that I have done with my family. When I was young my family tented at the beginning, then we used a tent trailer, then a 5th wheel trailer and lately we have been renting one of the trailers at Darien Lake.

I just want to take a moment to thank God for the many countless memories of my times going to the festival throughout the years with my family and friends including enjoying campfires, going on rides, enjoying the water park, going to awesome Christian concerts, listening to incredible speakers, worshipping with thousands of Christians and I definitely cannot forget a couple of years that we had the “mudfest” when we got soaked in the rain because of the down pour of continual rain through the festival.

I am very thankful that I was able to go to the Kingdom Bound festival with my Mom, my

brother Jonathan and his friend for the 31st year of the festival from Wednesday July 26 – Saturday July 29, 2017. I was pretty excited that some of my favorite Christian artists were there which included: Kari Jobe, Rend Collective, Jordan Feliz, Ten Avenue North, Danny Gokey, Newsboys and some of the other artists and speakers were: Plumb, Britt Nicole, Mac Powell, Zach Williams, Set for the Fall, Paul Baloche, Peter Furler, John Crist and Reggie Dabbs.

I am so thankful that God gave us amazing weather with hardly any rain at all so it was definitely really great to be outdoors during the time we were there.  If you ever get a chance to go to the festival I would really like to encourage you to go because it is definitely worth it!
